I have just about had enough of the politics of footy.
Collingwood V Power There has been enough written about how Power underestimated Collingwood etc do they think we are dumb. It is so easy for Victorian teams to manipulate the final eight so that they get the benefit of deals done with the AFL and MCC. Essendon V Richmond in 2001 decided 4th position Richmond won then the week after Essendon won by a street BUT all the finals were at home. It was well written about that the best position for a Victorian team to finish was fourth as it meant the first week away then all at home. Has the AFL investigated the last few weeks of Collingwood's season? Have they ensured that the final 8 teams are the best 8 teams over 22 weeks.
Now with all this why would I pay to go and see final ?Wayne Jackson South Australians are not whingers. We just want a fair deal.
If Wayne Jackson wants a whinger look in Eddie's direction. What a tantrum from the most biased commentator, and a person with many conflicts of interest. As soon as it does not suit Collingwood he rattles of to the AFL and they bow to him. We complain and we are whingers.
The loser in all this is footy. The AFL are supposed to be guardians of the game. Ha ha ha

The funny thing is the biggest attendance drops this year have been in...............wait for it.......Victoria! Yet the footy is cheaper in Melbourne than in SA.
Maybe we should strip the Melbourne sides of all their home games during the year as recompense for the finals' fiasco! After all, if they can't get the crowds.........
I'm sure our games against the Kangas and Carlton would have drawn far more supporters in SA. Yet no-one said ANYTHING at the time.
Double standards persist and always will, while the AFL is dominated by Melbourne based clubs with vested interests on and off the field.
